Baseline study of the DFPA SRHR programme in Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia 2023

Project description

The Danish Family Planning Association of DFPA fights for sexual and reproductive rights (SRHR), and strengthens each person’s chances of making free and informed choices about sexuality and reproduction without being discriminated against. The DFPA SRHR programme in East Africa is implemented by 14 implementing partners in Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia and focuses on enhanced access to family planning and SRHR services while combatting SGBV. The baseline study is a fully qualitative study using methodologies like desk review, Body mapping, Gender jumble, Community mapping and Key Informant Interviews.

Project Scope:

The baseline study covers the three countries of Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. The programme duration is from 2022 till 2025.

Result:

The baseline provides a benchmark for the evaluation framework of the SRHR programme in East Africa. Future monitoring and evaluation results can be compared with baseline results in order to identify progress and impact of the programme. The baseline report consisted of three baseline country reports with each a set of recommendations for programme implementation and monitoring.
