Today I would like to share another approach to outcome harvesting by using it to assess a Gender Transformative Approach in programming.
The following model summarises the dimension of the Gender Transformative Approach. This approach allows us to identify individual and systemic beliefs, attitudes, norms, capacities, access and policies and to examine the underlying causes of gender inequality rooted in inequitable social structures and institutions. Identified levels of empowerment of women and youth can be linked to possibilities for attaining more gender-just and violence-free communities. Outcomes harvested can be classified per each of these dimensions and key informant interviews with identified substantiators can be conducted to further explore the barriers experienced by different identities.
