Impact Evaluation Greenpeace South Asia 3-year strategy
Client: Greenpeace South Asia
Region: Asia

Project description

Greenpeace South Asia (GPSA) is the latest regional establishment of Greenpeace which is at the initial stage of establishment. In June and July 2024, Building for Welfare conducted an impact evaluation of Greenpeace South Asia’s 3 year strategy 2022-2024. This impact evaluation aims to assess the effectiveness, relevance, sustainability and impact of Greenpeace work in the region in the past 3 years, while identifying lessons learned and providing suggestions for the way forward. As 2024 marks the end of the current strategic period and a new evidence-based strategic plan for GPSA will be developed for 2025-2028, an evaluation of the current Strategic Plans was commissioned.

Project Scope:

Greenpeace South Asia operates in India, Sri Lanka and possibly Bangladesh in the near future. The Greenpeace South Asia office was established in 2022. The evaluation scope covered the 3-tear strategic period of 2022-2024.

Result:

The evaluation assessed the relevance, effectiveness, sustainability and impact of the work of Greenpeace South Asia. A set of seven recommendations were developed to support future work of GPSA and to contribute to enhanced effectiveness, relevance, sustainability and impact of GPSA’s work.
